Welcome to Holy Cross Parish Henderson
Holy Cross Parish warmly invites all parishioners, families, and friends to join us in a 9-Day Novena to Our Blessed Mother Mary, from Sunday, 30 August to Monday, 7 September.
Over these nine days, we will gather in prayer and devotion, reflecting each day on a special theme and prayer intention. Together, we will seek the loving intercession of Our Lady for our families, our parish community, our nation, and the needs of the world.
This novena offers a beautiful opportunity to deepen our faith, draw closer to Jesus through Mary, and unite as a community in prayer, hope, and trust.
All are welcome. Come and experience the grace, peace, and blessings that flow from spending time with Our Blessed Mother in prayer.
The feast day mass of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be on Tuesday, 8th September at 7:30pm

About our Parish
In the 1880’s Priests from the Avondale Parish said Masses in the local Catholic houses in Swanson and Henderson. In about 1900 the first Western district church was built in Swanson. On the 6th of August 1911 Henderson officially received its first Catholic Church.
