With the aid of the church screens and an abundance of photos, Rob (Hardie OFS) shared his “Faith Storey”. This began with his Anglican parents and relatives and was enhanced by his experiences at Anglican schools, and then matured after his reception into the Catholic Church as a junior hospital doctor to accompany his Catholic wife and children. He described a fascinating time in general practice in the West of England when his small Pro-Life practice experienced a number of remarkable healings after members of the practice started to pray with and for some of the patients. He also briefly talked about the times he worked in Uganda and Bangladesh, and concluded by explaining that real healing for the whole world is entrusted to Christians and is well seen in the life of St Francis of Assisi, who demonstrated how we are expected to help bring harmony to all elements and beings of the Cosmos by embracing them in God’s love.
